Fate spins the thread, but you choose the pattern.

Denita Tizard 11 August 2025

This morning I drew Klothaie - Spinner of Fate - Destiny.

The Fates
The card is alive with the image of the Three Fates seated at their loom, weaving the threads of every life. Infinity loops shimmer beside them. A spider web stretches across the scene. It’s a card of inevitability and choice, of design and creation.

In Greek myth, the Moirai — the Three Fates — are the unseen hands guiding the story of every soul:

Clotho, the Spinner draws the thread of life from her distaff, marking our beginnings.
Lachesis, the Measurer determines the span and shape of each thread, guiding us through crossroads and turning points.
Atropos, the Cutter severs the thread when a life’s work is done, reminding us that endings are part of the pattern.

Even the gods were said to bow to the Moirai's weaving. But that doesn’t mean our lives are stitched in immovable lines. If fate is the loom, then free will is the hand that chooses colours, ties knots, and traces patterns into the cloth.

Some strands are fixed — the family we’re born into, the inevitability of change, the cycles of beginnings and endings. The rest is malleable: how we respond to life, the choices we make at each crossroad, the moments we decide to untangle or strengthen a thread.

The spider web on this card reminds me that every action is connected — each choice rippling outward, touching others, altering the design of their own threads. The infinity sign whispers that there is no true end, only a return — a rebirth into another part of the weave.

Today, I’m sitting with these questions:

What thread is being spun in my life right now?
Where am I resisting the pattern that’s trying to emerge?
Which choice before me is a pivotal crossroad?

When I remember that my life is both guided by the loom and shaped by my own hand, I feel humbled and empowered. The weaving is shared work — and I have a say in how beautiful my piece of the tapestry will be.

Thread of the Three – A Fate-Weaving Ritual

You’ll need:

Three pieces of thread, ribbon, or yarn (different colours if possible)
A quiet space
A candle (optional)

Name the Threads
Hold the three threads in your hands.
The first is Clotho’s thread — beginnings, new possibilities, seeds of dreams.
The second is Lachesis’s thread — the path, choices, and shaping of your story.
The third is Atropos’s thread — endings, release, and the wisdom of closure.

Breathe the Story In
Take three deep breaths, one for each thread. With each breath, think of a current beginning, a decision or path you’re walking, and something you are ready to release.

Weave or Knot
Twist, braid, or loosely knot the three threads together, imagining the Fates’ hands working alongside yours. See how your choices intertwine with the threads of destiny.

Speak Your Intention
Say aloud: “I honour the thread that is mine to walk. I trust the weaving. I accept the design.”

Keep or Release
Place the braided thread on your altar or in a safe place as a reminder.
Or, if you feel ready to let go, bury it or release it into running water as a sign of trust in the weave.

The Fates hand us the thread, but we decide how to weave it. Some strands are set, others are ours to colour, knot, and shape. Every choice ripples through the web — and the beauty of our tapestry lies in the care we give to the weaving. You can’t choose the thread you’re given, but you can weave it into something beautiful.

I Hold the Lightning Now

Denita Tizard 09 August 2025

Zeus you powerful God!

20250809 052823

There are moments on the path when you pause and realise — I’ve come a long way. Maybe I shouldn’t even be standing, and yet, I am.

For a long time, I believed that power was something outside myself. Something given or earned. Something I had to wait for, prove myself worthy of. But over time, I began to understand that the strength I was looking for was already within me. The lightning was always in my hands — I just had to remember how to hold it.

One of the most defining points in my journey wasn’t loud or impressive. It was a quiet night where everything fell away — the distractions, the noise, the roles I thought I had to play. I felt hollowed out. Alone. Like I’d reached a dead end. But that moment wasn’t the end. It was the beginning of a deeper becoming.

What I discovered in that space wasn’t weakness. It was something unshakable.

I met the part of myself that doesn’t collapse when things get hard. The part that stands quietly in the storm and listens. The part that notices the eagle overhead — a symbol I’ve come to trust — showing up just when I need a reminder to keep going.

That eagle has been with me through many transitions. Whenever it appears, I know I’m still on the right path. I don’t need to force or prove anything — just keep walking.

Since then, I’ve moved through life with a steadier kind of knowing. Not the kind you read about or talk yourself into, but the kind that comes from going through hard things and coming out stronger.

These days, I’m not just surviving the journey — I’m choosing it.

I honour my gentleness, and I honour my fire. I trust the strength I carry, the insight I’ve earned, and the signs that continue to guide me. The lightning in my hands. The eagle in my sky.

This path is mine, and I’ve grown to love it.

If you’ve been looking for a little encouragement — this is it. You will get through whatever you’re in. You’re made for this path, even when it feels unclear or heavy. The more love, trust, and quiet confidence you hold within yourself, the lighter it becomes. Keep listening to your intuition. Keep walking with faith. You know more than you think. You hold the lightning now — and the eagle is flying with you.

The Journey Is the Point

Denita Tizard 08 August 2025

Today I pulled the Path - Journey card — and wow, did it speak to me.

20250808 052551 copy 969x1381
Life isn’t a straight line. It’s a winding, messy, beautiful thing, and sometimes we forget to appreciate it because we’re so focused on the end goal. But this card reminded me: we’re not here to race to the finish line. We’re here to live the journey.

And honestly? I freaking love mine.

It hasn’t always been easy. There have been setbacks, detours, heartbreaks, and hard lessons. But every twist and turn has brought me closer to myself. Closer to Spirit. Closer to the kind of freedom that comes from trusting the unknown.

Something that really stuck with me recently was a conversation I heard on a podcast with Gaia, a psychic here in Aotearoa. She said: “If Spirit puts something in my face, I just do it and move on.” That landed deep. That’s how I try to live too — following the breadcrumbs without overthinking every step. Because overthinking dulls the magic. Action invites it in.

One of the best jobs I ever had was also one of the hardest. I managed the largest Bin Inn in the late 90's — over $100k of stock, a team of 11, lifting 20kg sacks like it was nothing, cleaning like a madwoman… and I loved it. Why? Because I chose to. I learned that if I wanted my team on board, I had to infuse love and presence into everything — even mopping those endless floors. I never saw any job as “beneath” me. And I think my team felt that. We worked with each other, not above or below. That’s what transformed the grind into joy.

Presence is powerful. Love in action changes things. And the little things — how we show up, even in the mundane — matter deeply. So take a breath. Look back with pride. You’ve come a long way. Don’t wait for some grand destination to celebrate your life. Honour this moment. Trust the signs. Follow what lights you up — even if it’s weird, random, or doesn’t “make sense.” This is your journey. Let it be full. Let it be wild. Let it be yours.

Today's Affirmation
I trust the journey, even when I can’t see the destination.
I honour each step, each choice, and each breath.
I follow what calls me — not because it’s certain,
but because it’s mine.
Thank you for walking this path with me.

If you're feeling the nudge to do something tonight — no matter how small or strange — follow it. That might just be Spirit showing you the next breadcrumb.

With you on the winding road,
So much love,
Denita x

Aquarius Full Moon Ritual: Set Yourself Free

Denita Tizard 07 August 2025

The Aquarius Full Moon rises like a cosmic beacon, illuminating the path to liberation. It calls you to shed outdated roles, silent agreements, inner constraints, and collective systems that no longer resonate with your truth.

Full Moon in Aquarius

This is a moon of clarity and rebellion.
Of insight and innovation.
Of breaking patterns and weaving visions.

Aquarius, the revolutionary water bearer, helps us pour out what no longer serves and refill ourselves with purpose, passion, and a future-focused light.

Expect flashes of inspiration, sudden knowing, and the courage to speak and live your truth. This is a time to honour your most authentic self — the part of you that doesn’t fit the mould — and set it free.

You Will Need:
A candle
A small bowl of water
Essential oil (optional)
A crystal (Aquarius crystals include Amethyst, Garnet, Aquamarine, Labradorite, Moonstone, Rose Quartz, Black Onyx, Fluorite, Celestite, Lepidolite, Angelite, Citrine, Quartz, Selenite, Turquoise, & Agate)
Paper or journal and pen
A few art materials (coloured pens, pencils, or anything that feels expressive)
Headphones & phone (for the meditation)
A quiet space where you won’t be disturbed
Tarot or oracle deck (optional)

Optional extras: Incense or smoke cleanser, fresh herbs like rosemary or lavender, your favourite playlist, a glass of drinking water and a snack for aftercare.

Create Your Sacred Space

Begin by cleansing your energy and space. You may use smoke, sound, salt, water, or simply your breath and intention.

Light a candle — white or silver is beautiful for clarity.

Set your ritual tools around you: a bowl of water, a sprig of rosemary or lavender, and any crystals you feel drawn to.

Take a few deep breaths. Arrive fully. Let this be your threshold.

Say aloud or whisper:

I call upon the light of the Aquarius Full Moon.
May this be a space of liberation, insight, and awakening.
May what is no longer mine be released with grace.
May what wants to be born in me rise with courage and joy.

Aquarius Full Moon Guided Meditation | Alchemize Energy & Balance Your Chakras by The Psychic Soul

Meditation invites you to become the Alchemist of your own energy — releasing emotional weight, alchemizing stagnant energy, and restoring your chakras to their natural frequency of harmony.

Get comfortable, pop on your headphones, CLICK HERE to get gently guided through a full-body energetic reset under the magnetic Full Moon.

Release with Water

Take the bowl of water. This is the moment of release. Breathe deeply. Let the water receive it all.

Say aloud:

I release the fear of being too much.
I release the weight of other people’s expectations.
I release what is not mine to carry.
Add in what feels right for you to say.

When you have finished the ritual, you can pour the water into the earth with gratitude, allowing nature to transmute what has been released.

Creative Expression: Channel Your Weird

Aquarius rules innovation, artistic rebellion, and unapologetic individuality. Under this Full Moon, you’re invited to break the rules — especially your own. Creative expression becomes a form of liberation — a way to bypass logic and perfectionism and let your inner truth move freely.

Try this: Create a piece of scribble art using your non-dominant hand. This process is intentionally unstructured. There’s no right way. Let it be instinctive, expressive, and free.
Use colours or tools that call to you. Let your hand move however it wants — no plan, no edits. Allow the lines to sprawl, twist, layer, and shift across the page. Let go of the outcome — this isn’t about making something good, it’s about making something true.

When you feel complete, pause. Look at what you’ve created with soft eyes and an open heart. Does anything stand out? A mood, a shape, a story? If you’re called, jot down a few words or phrases that arise as you look at your piece — no need to make sense, just follow the thread.

Reflection prompt: What part of me needed this space to speak? What did I just express without words?

This is your soul speaking through colour and line — raw, imperfect, and entirely yours.

Pull Cards or Journal with These Questions.

Aquarius reminds us we are both sovereign and part of something bigger. Use these prompts to reflect on your place in the collective and what you are ready to liberate:

  1. What am I being called to release for the greater good?
  2. What beliefs or patterns no longer serve me?
  3. What truth do I need to share or express?
  4. How can I best serve the collective right now?
  5. Where am I holding back my truth?
  6. What future vision wants to come through me?

Final Blessing

I honour the rebel, the healer, and the visionary within me.
I release what no longer fits.
I rise in truth, in freedom, in alignment.
I walk forward with an open heart and a clear mind.
I am ready.

Aftercare

  • Drink water and eat chocolate to ground and replenish
  • Move gently — stretch, dance, walk barefoot
  • Burn or bury any paper you wish to release

Trust that this ritual marks a turning point. You’ve let go of something heavy. You’ve made space for something new. You’ve remembered something sacred about who you really are.

Extra activity - Full Moon Water Charging and Intention Spray

Though Aquarius is an air sign, it is the sacred Water Bearer — carrying the waters of consciousness, cleansing, and renewal. You can create your own moon-charged water or intention spray to carry this energy forward.

To create:

  1. Fill a clean glass jar or bowl with water and place it under the moonlight overnight
  2. Add a few drops of essential oil such as lavender, eucalyptus, or peppermint
  3. If you like, add a crystal such as clear quartz
  4. Hold the jar and speak your intention into the water

The next day, use the water to:

  • Mist your aura or the space around you
  • Anoint your third eye before meditation
  • Cleanse your altar or tools

Let this water carry the vibration of insight, freedom, and clarity wherever it goes.

The Hard Lesson of Loss

Denita Tizard 06 August 2025

Today I pulled the card Demeter – Loss, and it stirred something quiet but familiar in me.

Demeter
Demeter is the Greek goddess of the harvest, but she is also the grieving mother. When her daughter Persephone was taken to the underworld, she mourned so deeply that the whole world stopped blooming. Crops failed. The seasons halted. Time paused. Her grief became the landscape.

Loss does that — it alters everything.

What struck me most on the card was the contrast: two figures in sepia, fighting, and beside them, black and white sorrow — something spilling, the rain falling. That visual shift feels like the threshold between before and after. The moment something changes and nothing feels warm for a while.

While I was making my spicy hot cacao this morning, I noticed the pineapple head I’d placed on the windowsill. It had soaked up too much water and looked like it had started to rot. I thought, Well, that’s done for. But then I found myself carefully prying it open, just to see. And to my surprise, it wasn’t completely gone. It might still dry out. Maybe even regrow. That small moment felt oddly significant — like a quiet metaphor for something I’m still living through. Loss can make things look dead when they’re really just resting. Or waiting. Or changing shape.

I’ve come to realise that loss might be one of the deepest lessons of my life. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, but I know I’m not the only one learning from it. And maybe that’s the thing: the more we love, the harder the loss. That’s the cost, and the gift. I don’t have any grand wisdom to offer here — just the thought that grief isn’t something to “get over.” It’s something we learn to walk beside. And sometimes, we find that something inside us is beginning to stir again. Quietly. Softly. In its own time.

Loss changes us. It slows us down, empties the room, and sometimes steals our voice or creativity for a while. But it also teaches us how deeply we’ve loved — and reminds us that even after the longest winters, something always begins to grow again. This moment, is a small reminder: you don’t need to be over it. You just need to be with it. And trust that your own return is already beginning.

On Remembering Our Worth

Denita Tizard 05 August 2025

You Are Worthy of What’s Calling You

Worth
This morning I pulled two cards: The Key Bearer (third day in a row) and The Guardian at the Gate.

The message was clear. Hekate, ancient torch-bearer, stood before me holding both key and firelight. One card reminded me that I already hold the key — to love, to freedom, to potential. The other reminded me that I am standing right at the threshold. That I have to choose whether I will walk forward. That the path will wait for no one — but neither will it force itself on me.

As I sat with this, what rose in me was this: So many of us are standing at our own gates right now, not because we don’t know what we want, but because we’re still questioning whether we’re worthy of it.

That’s the real block, isn’t it? Not the timing. Not the logistics. But the ache of forgotten worth.

Somewhere along the way, we were taught that we have to earn our value. That we must prove ourselves before we can have the life we long for. That someone else holds the keys to our becoming.

But that’s just not true.
We are born worthy.
We were never unworthy.
We just forgot.

And when we forget our worth, the world starts to shrink. Opportunities close up. Doors seem sealed. We talk ourselves out of the very things we’ve prayed for.

But when we remember our worth — really remember it — the energy shifts. Something begins to open. The path lights up. The gate doesn’t feel so intimidating anymore. We’re not waiting for permission. We’re just... walking home.

This isn’t just personal. I feel it everywhere.

People on the edge of something big.
People feeling shaky and tender and a bit unsure.
But also — people remembering.
People reaching for their keys.

If that’s you, I want to say this clearly:

You are worthy of what’s calling you.
Not someday.
Not after you’ve done more work or healed every last thing.
Now. You are worthy right now.

And you don’t have to charge through the gate all at once.
Sometimes just remembering that the key is yours is enough for today.
Sometimes just standing tall at the threshold is the ritual.

A Few Questions for Your Journal or Morning Brew

What key am I holding but afraid to turn?
Where in my life am I still acting like I need permission?
What becomes possible when I remember my worth?
Who am I when I stop apologising for wanting more?

And a little blessing, from me to you.

May you hold your key with courage.
May the gate swing open in its own sacred timing.
May you remember who you are, and walk forward as if you belong —
because you do.

With all my love,
Denita
