Winter Simmer Pot from the Kitchen Witch Oracle.

I am a magician of words, crafting spells and incantations with power, focus, and purpose.
This Winter Simmer Pot helps clear away the lingering cold of winter and welcomes in warmth, blessings, and renewal. It’s a gentle ritual that bridges the seasons, inviting focus and fresh energy into your space.
You will need:
– 1 apple, sliced into rounds
– A handful of cranberries
– 1 orange, sliced into rounds
– 1 pine tree branch
– A few juniper berries
– 1 cinnamon stick
– Whole cloves
– 1–2 star anise
Place all the ingredients into a saucepan and cover with water. Stir slowly and clockwise with a wooden spoon over a low flame. As you stir, focus on what you wish to release and what you want to invite in. Let the mixture simmer gently throughout the day, topping up water as needed. Once cooled, strain and funnel the liquid into a spray bottle. Spritz around your doorways and windows to welcome blessings and light into your home.
The charms drawn with this card — the camera, scissors, and dagger — suggest a strong theme of clearing and reflection. The scissors and dagger invite you to cut away what no longer serves you, setting boundaries with intention. The camera encourages you to observe and reflect — perhaps it’s time to reframe old memories or shift your perspective as we are about to step past the midpoint of the year.
This spell reminds me of the wonderful Anne-Marie from one of the first covens I joined. She made the most amazing mulled wine, rich with spice and citrus, warming us all with love and connection. This Winter Simmer Pot carries that same comforting, magical energy — a fragrant welcome to new beginnings and renewed focus.
